I have always loved Korean culture, so I decided to travel from the United States to Korea to experience both Korean culture and K-beauty firsthand. I booked a reasonably priced hotel in the heart of Myeongdong, and its location made it very convenient to get around. There were plenty of things to enjoy nearby, including shopping, street food, and Cheonggyecheon Stream, but my main focus was experiencing K-beauty. UMI Clinic was the dermatology clinic I chose, where I decided to receive Ultherapy and Botox treatments. The interior had a uniquely Korean atmosphere, and every staff member was incredibly kind. Their explanations were thorough and easy to understand, making me feel like I was being treated like royalty. Because I spend a lot of time working under the sun, I hadn't realized how much my skin had been aging. Through this visit, I gained a clear understanding of my skin condition, the treatments I needed, and how I should take care of my skin going forward. Although all of the treatment names were unfamiliar to me at first, the staff explained everything in detail, making it very easy to understand. I was also impressed that the clinic had staff who could speak English as well as several other languages, which gave me confidence in their professionalism. If you're planning to visit Myeongdong or Korea, especially Seoul I highly recommend experiencing a skin treatment at UMI Clinic. It was the perfect choice, and I am extremely satisfied with my results after the treatments.

I did extensive research before visiting Korea, and UMI Clinic stood out the most from everything I found. I booked an appointment through WhatsApp for myself and my brother, which was very easy and straightforward. As it was our first visit, I had an amazing experience from start to finish. When we arrived, I was impressed by how organized, efficient, and clean the clinic was. We especially loved how the staff greeted us and made us feel very welcome. The environment felt modern and comfortable. Additionally, the staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and spoke multiple languages, including English, Japanese, and Chinese, which made communication smooth and stress-free. We particularly appreciated the clear explanations and translations throughout the entire process—it made us feel comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. During the consultation, everything was informative and transparent. We didn’t feel pressured at all to upgrade or exceed our budget. In fact, they asked about our budgets upfront to respect them, which I really valued. As for treatments, I was initially hesitant about invasive options and preferred treatments without injections. They respected my concerns. However, in the end, I opted to try the injections after a thorough explanation of the different treatment plans (both non-invasive and invasive). Dr. Yoon was very detailed in answering all my questions and made sure that there were no doubts. Everything was carefully explained and tailored to my needs, and the quality of service was outstanding. We also had a lot of fun sharing our experiences and perspectives from different parts of the world. A shout-out to Joyce for being an amazing interpreter and for making the conversation lively with her own experiences. I was offered the Rejuran and microbotox packages, in addition to other included treatments. The staff were incredibly attentive, constantly checking to make sure I wasn’t in pain, and even offered a stuffed animal for emotional support, which was such a thoughtful touch. The technicians were thorough and never rushed, and you could really tell they take pride in their work and use advanced techniques. Overall, we are extremely happy with both the experience and the results so far. On my last day of the trip, I went back to buy their exclusive clinic sunscreen (Forever Plus Sun Essence – it’s not oily and has a lovely smell), which was out of stock during my initial visit. They even accommodated my request to hold several just before I left. If I had more time, I would definitely go back for another facial moisturizing session. I greatly appreciate Dr. Yoon, both interpreters Joyce and Jennie, as well as Yeong (sorry if I’ve spelled your name wrong) the clinic manager, for all their extra attentiveness. I highly recommend UMI Clinic to anyone visiting Korea and looking for high-quality treatments with excellent service and communication. I will definitely be coming back!
