Don’t recommend if you’re not Korean. Literally impossible to find, and their instructions are really unclear - “straight”, “up”, and “down” a street don’t help. They’re very nice and mean well but the language barrier is too strong - they just copy/paste the same instruction for what to do once you arrive at the building but good luck getting to the building - there’s so much construction at the subway stop and at the street in front of the random commercial building where they’re in the basement. I had cars honking at me and a bus driver stop me to say I couldn’t walk through that way. The spa was of no help. Then after 30 minutes of circling around construction they could’ve directed me out of, they said they’d do a 170000kwr ($110) treatment in 30 minutes. It’s not right to not guide people properly, stress them out, then not offer a partial treatment. I was sending photos since my start time of where I was stuck. This apparently happens ALL the time. Now I’m stuck with no reservation trying to find a spa on a Sunday to take me before I leave Seoul. I recommend booking with a place you can navigate to and where you know you’ll be seen.

I had the 3-hour Full Care treatment at Spa 1978 during my trip to Seoul, and it was honestly one of the most relaxing experiences of my trip. The massage therapist was excellent — very skilled, attentive, and professional. You can really tell they know what they’re doing. What I liked most was how detailed and carefully designed the whole experience felt. There were many thoughtful steps throughout the treatment, and nothing felt rushed. It felt much more than just a massage — more like a full reset for both body and mind. After the treatment, I felt deeply relaxed and refreshed. If you’re visiting Seoul and want to spend a day relaxing and recharging, I would definitely recommend this place.

Just had the 3-hour spa package here and honestly, so worth it 🙌 They covered everything — head, face, body, and foot treatments — like a full reset from top to bottom. The therapists were great, super relaxing vibe the whole time. Honestly can’t believe how much you get for the price, definitely not a rip-off scenario at all. 100% coming back. If you need a proper chill-out sesh, this is it

I got the 3 hour full treatment, which involved a quick shower, foot soak, fully body massage, facial, and head spa. This was one of the best spa / massage experiences I’ve had and would highly recommend to anyone who has some time in Seoul for a relaxing experience! Like many other reviewers said, the staff are very professional and know what they are doing and worth the price. Will definitely return if I’m back in Seoul.

We had the most elevated experience at Spa 1978 ✨ From arrival to finish, every detail felt thoughtful and intentional. The atmosphere and design of the spa made it feel like stepping into a completely different world, quietly tucked away within the KT&G building. Our treatment was exceptional, and the use of ginseng felt especially unique and deeply rooted in Korean tradition. Ila was amazing. Her attention to my tension points and areas of dryness in my skin was incredibly thoughtful. She adjusted her techniques throughout the treatment to care for those areas, which made the entire experience feel deeply personalized and restorative. By the end, our skin and entire body felt calm, restored, and renewed from the inside out. Thank you for such a special and memorable experience. We will most definitely return during our next trip to Seoul ✨💛.
