I recently went to Grand Plastic Surgery for an upper blepharoplasty, and my experience has been very positive so far. The doctor and staff were extremely accommodating and had great bedside manner throughout the entire process. They provided a translator at every appointment, which made communication very easy and reassuring. Every step of the procedure and recovery process was explained thoroughly, and all of my questions were answered with patience and care. I’m still in the healing process, but I’m already extremely happy with my results and how everything has turned out so far. Overall, I’ve felt very supported and well taken care of during my experience here.
Avoid Grand Plastic Surgery Korea like a plague! According to Google/Gemini search: Grand Plastic Surgery in Seoul was at the center of one of the most infamous "ghost doctor" (or shadow doctor) scandals in South Korea by The Korea Times. 2 years ago, I went to get a thread lift to tighten my lower face, deep wrinkles, and a noticeable fat bulge on the side of my mouth. However, Dr. Ha advised that a thread lift would typically last only one to two years, but lower facelift will last ten years and I paid approximately 10,000 USD. Next morning, I woke up in extreme pain and nausea hearing next patient was yelling for help with no reply for hours. Finally, a staff came and tried to stick medication into my Ivy. I told her I don't want any medication before talking to a doctor because I am very sick. She replied doctor will not see you unless you accept this mediation and just stuck the needle into IVY, which made me almost pass out and throwing up. 5 months after surgery, my face looked more saggy than before, during 2nd check up, Dr. Ha said, I must wait 1 year for the result. But since I do not live in Korea, he said I can come back, next time I am in Korea. After waiting year, without any improvements I called and emailed Grand plastic surgery, but they stopping replying. Grand plastic surgery was on, April 11, 2024 and before the operation, I requested all documents pertaining my surgery, including a receipt not just a credit card receipt, before and after photos. From April 11, 2024 to May 30, 2026 I have called and emailed on 13 different dates but Grand Plastic Surgery failed to reply. Only after my complaint to Korean government agency, and a certified demand letter by registered mail on April 30, 2026, clinic finally provide limited documentation on June 1, 2026. Because I previously experienced adverse reactions to anesthesia during two earlier surgeries, I have consistently disclosed those medications on every medical history form in English. However, the information contained in the first document provided by the clinic does not accurately reflect what I recall submitting. In addition, despite numerous written requests, the clinic has still not provided all of my requested pre-operative and post-operative photographs. The second document: Delayed Disclosure of Chest X-Ray Findings was my X ray report where they found a lump in my lung which they never informed me. I pray I don't have a lung cancer or something deadly serious. One must wonder if Grand Plastic Surgery accurately reflect the medical records or their documented communications, why they took 2 years and 2 months to send an email? Beware: “Medical clinics are using fake Google reviews to boost their profiles online, a BBC investigation has found”
