Expensive treatments such as Thermage and Ultherapy were heavily promoted, ( nothing else about other skin issues addressed) and the coordinator’s attitude noticeably changed when we declined. We felt judged and treated differently simply because we were not willing to commit to the high-cost procedures being recommended that is more expensive than USA.\n\nWhat was most concerning was that despite having a plastic surgery consultation scheduled, we were told that everything had to go through the coordinator. We were not given the opportunity to meet or speak directly with the plastic surgeon about our concerns, goals, or treatment options. It is difficult to understand how patients can make informed decisions when access to the doctor is effectively blocked by a coordinator.\n\nThe atmosphere felt cold, dismissive, and focused on sales rather than patient care. We came expecting professionalism, transparency, and expert medical guidance, but instead felt pressured and unwelcome once it became clear we were not interested in the most expensive treatments.\n\nKorea has an excellent reputation for aesthetic medicine, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
