If you’re even thinking about it, just do it! I had my session with Faith, and she was amazing. You can really tell she loves what she does, which made the whole experience even better. I had such a fun time and felt completely comfortable throughout. 10/10 experience! I did the color analysis and highly recommend it.

During my recent trip to Korea, my friends and I booked a Makeup and Facial Features Analysis session with Cocory. As the Yeonhui branch could only accommodate two of us, I visited the Hongdae branch alone. My experience there differed quite a bit from my friends’. At the Yeonhui branch, the session included machine-based skin analysis. However, this was not available at the Hongdae branch. Instead, my analysis was conducted subjectively by Kayla, along with the use of a device to measure skin hydration and skin tone, which required some manual calculation on her end. While this approach still provided insights, it felt noticeably more traditional and less advanced, especially given that the price was the same (KRW 300,000). Kayla then guided me through a facial analysis using slides that explained different eye and face types. She used transparent overlays placed near my face to identify the closest match. The process continued with selecting a makeup look, followed by guidance on application techniques for different facial areas. The session was informative, and Kayla was professional throughout, offering helpful makeup tips and explanations. However, I did have some concerns regarding hygiene. The makeup brushes did not appear well-maintained, and she retrieved them from a drawer that contained both clean and used brushes. She selected the cleaner-looking ones, but I noticed that brushes were double-dipped into makeup palettes, which felt unhygienic. At the end of the session, I was told the analysis file would be sent within 2–3 days, but I only received it after 4 working days. I was also expecting slightly more detailed information in the report, given the turnaround time, but it turned out to be only a one-page summary of my features. Luckily, I was able to take photos of the products used during the session. If you’re planning to book this experience, it may be worth factoring in some delay for the final report. In addition, the privacy and environment of the space could be improved. I could hear the session in the next room word for word throughout my session. The rooms are also exposed at the top rather than fully enclosed, which made the experience feel less private and may become an issue if the studio is busier. Overall, while Kayla was professional, personable, and shared useful tips, the overall experience at the Hongdae branch did not meet my expectations, and I would personally be hesitant to recommend it.

Attended the session with my brother and we thoroughly enjoyed the process! Staff were friendly and service was great. Especially our consultant Ellen Kim who made the colour analysis so much fun. Very personable and made us feel very comfortable throughout. Excited to apply everything we've learnt from her!
